The estate, spanning more than 100 hectares, has remained in the possession of the De Loë family through inheritance since 1668. Today, the castle is home to the 11th generation: Diederik and Marjolein de Loë. With their authentic guest rooms, they are reviving the castle's original purpose as a welcoming family residence, while contributing to the preservation of this remarkable historic monument. The castle's ten spacious guest rooms each have their own distinctive character and story, combining timeless elegance with modern comfort. Baron Frans baron de Loë-Imstenraedt was the founder of the Dutch noble branch of the De Loë family and served as the first Governor of Limburg in 1830.
Your hosts
Diederik, a business economist and the 11th generation of the De Loë family, was born and raised at the castle in a family of six. Marjolein, a lawyer by training, grew up in Brabant in a family of five. Together, they are the proud parents of four children.
Hospitality has always been a natural part of their lives. After successful careers in the business world, including several years abroad, they are now passionately committed to preserving their unique family heritage. They do so by living at the castle themselves and working to secure a sustainable and fitting future for this remarkable estate.
